Die Fledermaus 2008

DIE FLEDERMAUS – Johann strauss
OCTOBER 10 AND 12, 2008
Willson Auditorium

Following on the grand success of our spring production of Bizet’s Carmen we continued our 30th anniversary year season with Johann Strauss’s exuberant Die Fledermaus.

Intermountain Opera Music Director Julian Dawson conducted. Stage direction was by the London actor/director Richard Clifford who arranged for us to use the English translation/adaptation by the famed Masterpiece Theatre writer John Mortimer (Rumpole of the Bailey). Tenor Russell Milburn prepared the Intermountain Opera chorus (and sang the role of the bumbling Dr. Blind.) Costumes and sets were by the Stivanello Costume Company of New York City with additional costumes by Intermountain Opera costume coordinator Madeline Garcia. Choreography by Lauren Coleman. Photography by Nikolai Markov.
