Mark your Calendars for the Second annual Opera Run, Saturday, October 6, 2012, Lindley Park, Bozeman, Montana.
It Ain’t Over ’til the FIT Lady sings! Register Early to receive T-shirts and Viking Hats.
The Mile is a Fun Run with Props, the 5K is for anyone or everyone, and the 10 mile is for serious runners.
WHEN: Saturday 8:00 AM, October 6, 2012. 1 Mile starts at 8 AM, 10 mile at 9 AM, 5K at 9:30 AM. Awards ceremony around 11:00 AM. Same day registration at 7:30 (t-shirts and viking hats not guaranteed unless registered by 9/17/12).
WHERE: Lindley Park, Bozeman, off of Church The 5K course utilizes the trails behind the hospital and around Lindley Park. The 10 Miler goes up Highland on the bike path to Kagy, on trails to Goldenstein and through Sundance Springs trails to Galligator and back to Lindley. Both courses are mostly on city trails.
WHAT: See whose running prowess can outdo our singing prowess. Out-of-town Super-star singers will be performing at the awards ceremony. A duel of muscle and vocal power. Join the fun and challenge your muscles while donning your best Viking hat and braids. The kids’1 mile run will be based on our Cosi fan Tutte production happening the following weekend (10/12 and 10/14) with props and fun.
10 MILE SERIOUS (Valkyre and Wotan) RUN! Somewhere between 9.5 and 10 miles….we’ll point you in the right direction at the very end of the race. The mileage has been measured by a soprano (soprano brains allow extra space for resonance!), and since she’s the diva, she knows that it is right and we don’t want to argue with her! If you win….you get a special crown!
PACKET PICKUP: Packet pick-up at Intermountain Opera Bozeman (US Bank Building, 104 East Main Street, Suite 101) starting on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012 – through Friday, October 5th, 9-5pm. Race day packet pick-up also available.
COST: 1 Mile $5, 5K $20, 10 Mile $25 (all plus online service fee). T-shirts and kid’s viking hats guaranteed for those registered by September 17th, 2012. We appreciate your entry fee and would really appreciate any donation you care to give to our nonprofit – see donations.
AWARDS: All adults will receive T shirts (if registered by 9/17/12) and prizes, all kids will receive Viking hats (if registered by 9/17/12). First Place winners for 10 mile and 5K will receive prizes and coveted one-of-a-kind Viking hats / crowns! It Ain’t Over ’til the Fit Lady sings!
