Description
Opera Montana is seeking a full time Operations and EducationManager (OEM). The OEM is responsible for many of the day-to-day operations of the organization. This position reports to the General Director.
The ideal candidate is extremely organized, self-motivated, and has a passion for the arts and spreadsheets.
Duties Include
Company Management
- Coordinate artist travel to and from Montana
- Assist with contracting and ensuring artists are paid on time
- Ensure artists have a positive experience while visiting Montana
Box Office Management
- Assist patrons in subscribing and/or buying single tickets to Opera Montana events
- Run financial reports through ticketing and credit card processing software
- Be the point peson at the Box Office during all Opera Montana events
Bookkeeping
- Work within Quickbooks to assist bookkeeper and General Director on keeping OM books up to date
Education
- Work with schools to schedule and manage logistics connected with Opera Montana's School tour, Wheels of Harmony
- Assist in coordinating Opera Montana's local education initiatives
General
- Act as a positive ambassador for Opera Montana in all encounters with patrons, board members, donors, and the general public
- Serve as the point person in managing Opera Montana's storage facilities
- Be able to assist with load in, strike, and other "all hands on deck" events surrounding produciton
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-3 years in operations management and educational programming or equivalent related experience
- Strong familiarity with theatrical production
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with accounting and/or ticketing software systems
- Ability to work weekends and evenings, including overtime, during production weeks as required
- Ability to be a positive team player
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and drive a car
